১. সংবাদ সংগ্রহের উৎস
জনবার্তা (Janobarta) স্থানীয়, জাতীয় ও আন্তর্জাতিক সংবাদ প্রকাশের ক্ষেত্রে বিভিন্ন নির্ভরযোগ্য উৎস থেকে তথ্য সংগ্রহ করতে পারে। এর মধ্যে রয়েছে:
- সরকারি ও বেসরকারি প্রতিষ্ঠানের বিজ্ঞপ্তি ও প্রকাশিত তথ্য।
- সংশ্লিষ্ট ব্যক্তি, প্রতিষ্ঠান ও দায়িত্বশীল কর্মকর্তার বক্তব্য।
- প্রত্যক্ষদর্শী ও স্থানীয় সংবাদদাতার দেওয়া তথ্য।
- সংবাদ সম্মেলন, সংবাদ বিজ্ঞপ্তি ও আনুষ্ঠানিক ঘোষণা।
- নির্ভরযোগ্য দেশি-বিদেশি সংবাদমাধ্যমের প্রতিবেদন।
- জনস্বার্থসংশ্লিষ্ট প্রকাশ্য নথি ও তথ্য।
২. সংবাদসূত্র উল্লেখ
অন্য কোনো সংবাদমাধ্যম, প্রতিষ্ঠান বা প্রকাশিত প্রতিবেদন থেকে তথ্য নেওয়া হলে যথাসম্ভব মূল উৎসের নাম ও লিংক উল্লেখ করা হবে।
সংবাদসূত্র উল্লেখ করার অর্থ এই নয় যে সংশ্লিষ্ট উৎসের সব তথ্য স্বয়ংক্রিয়ভাবে যাচাই করা হয়েছে। জনবার্তা নিজস্ব সম্পাদকীয় পর্যালোচনার মাধ্যমে তথ্যের যথার্থতা যাচাই করার চেষ্টা করে।
৩. তথ্য যাচাই
সংবাদের গুরুত্ব ও প্রকৃতি অনুযায়ী তথ্য যাচাইয়ের জন্য একাধিক উৎসের সঙ্গে মিলিয়ে দেখা, সংশ্লিষ্ট পক্ষের বক্তব্য নেওয়া এবং প্রাসঙ্গিক নথি পরীক্ষা করার চেষ্টা করা হয়।
সামাজিক যোগাযোগমাধ্যমে পাওয়া কোনো তথ্য বা ছবি যাচাই ছাড়া নিশ্চিত সংবাদ হিসেবে প্রকাশ করা উচিত নয়।
৪. সংবাদে ভুল সংশোধন
প্রকাশিত সংবাদে কোনো তথ্যগত ভুল, নাম, পদবি, স্থান, তারিখ, পরিসংখ্যান বা অন্য কোনো গুরুত্বপূর্ণ অসঙ্গতি পাওয়া গেলে বিষয়টি পর্যালোচনা করে প্রয়োজনীয় সংশোধন করা হবে।
সংশোধনের ধরন ও গুরুত্ব অনুযায়ী সংবাদে সংশোধিত তথ্য বা হালনাগাদের বিষয়টি উল্লেখ করা হতে পারে।
৫. সংশোধনের অনুরোধ পাঠানোর নিয়ম
পাঠক কোনো সংবাদে ভুল বা অসঙ্গতি শনাক্ত করলে ইমেইলে আমাদের জানাতে পারেন।
অনুরোধ পাঠানোর সময় সম্ভব হলে নিচের তথ্যগুলো উল্লেখ করুন:
- সংশ্লিষ্ট সংবাদটির শিরোনাম বা লিংক।
- কোন তথ্যটি ভুল বা অসংগতিপূর্ণ।
- সঠিক তথ্যের পক্ষে প্রাসঙ্গিক নথি, সূত্র বা প্রমাণ।
- প্রয়োজনে যোগাযোগের জন্য আপনার নাম ও ইমেইল।
প্রাপ্ত অভিযোগ বা সংশোধনের অনুরোধ যাচাই করে প্রয়োজনীয় ব্যবস্থা নেওয়া হবে।
৬. সংবাদ প্রত্যাহার
কোনো সংবাদ গুরুতরভাবে ভুল, বিভ্রান্তিকর বা প্রকাশযোগ্য নয় বলে প্রতীয়মান হলে সম্পাদকীয় পর্যালোচনার ভিত্তিতে সেটি সংশোধন, হালনাগাদ বা প্রত্যাহার করা হতে পারে।

News Sources & Corrections Policy
1. Sources of News
Janobarta may gather information for local, national and international news from various reliable sources, including:
- Official announcements and published information from government and private institutions.
- Statements from relevant individuals, organizations and officials.
- Information provided by eyewitnesses and local contributors.
- Press conferences, press releases and official announcements.
- Reports from reliable national and international news organizations.
- Public records and information relevant to the public interest.
2. Source Attribution
When information is obtained from another news organization, institution or published report, we aim to identify and link to the original source whenever possible.
Attribution does not automatically mean that every detail from a source has been independently verified. Janobarta makes reasonable efforts to assess information through its own editorial review.
3. Information Verification
Depending on the nature and importance of a report, we may cross-check information with multiple sources, seek comments from relevant parties and review supporting documents.
Information or images found on social media should not be treated as confirmed news without appropriate verification.
4. Corrections to Published Reports
If a factual error or significant inconsistency is identified in a published report, including errors in names, titles, locations, dates or statistics, we will review the matter and make necessary corrections.
Depending on the nature and significance of the correction, the updated information or correction may be noted in the report.
5. How to Request a Correction
Readers who identify an error or inconsistency in a published report may contact us by email.
Where possible, please include:
- The headline or link to the relevant report.
- A description of the incorrect or inconsistent information.
- Relevant documents, sources or evidence supporting the correction.
- Your name and email address for follow-up, if necessary.
We will review correction requests and take appropriate action after verification.
6. Retraction of News Reports
If a report is found to be seriously inaccurate, misleading or unsuitable for publication, it may be corrected, updated or retracted following editorial review.
