১. আমাদের সম্পাদকীয় অঙ্গীকার
জনবার্তা (Janobarta) খুলনা, বাংলাদেশ থেকে পরিচালিত একটি অনলাইন সংবাদমাধ্যম। স্থানীয়, জাতীয় ও আন্তর্জাতিক অঙ্গনের গুরুত্বপূর্ণ সংবাদ ও তথ্য পাঠকের কাছে দায়িত্বশীলভাবে তুলে ধরাই আমাদের লক্ষ্য।
আমাদের সম্পাদকীয় নীতির মূল ভিত্তি হলো সত্যনিষ্ঠা, নিরপেক্ষতা, জনস্বার্থ, স্বচ্ছতা ও জবাবদিহি।
২. সংবাদ যাচাই ও নির্ভুলতা
সংবাদ প্রকাশের আগে তথ্যের যথার্থতা যাচাই করার চেষ্টা করা হয়। গুরুত্বপূর্ণ তথ্যের ক্ষেত্রে একাধিক নির্ভরযোগ্য সূত্রের সঙ্গে মিলিয়ে দেখাকে অগ্রাধিকার দেওয়া হয়।
কোনো তথ্য তাৎক্ষণিকভাবে স্বাধীনভাবে যাচাই করা সম্ভব না হলে, প্রাপ্ত সূত্র ও তথ্যের সীমাবদ্ধতা বিবেচনায় নিয়ে সংবাদ উপস্থাপন করা হয়। অনুমান, গুজব বা অসমর্থিত তথ্যকে নিশ্চিত সংবাদ হিসেবে প্রকাশ করা আমাদের নীতির পরিপন্থী।
৩. সংবাদসূত্র ও তথ্যের স্বীকৃতি
সংবাদ তৈরিতে সরকারি বিজ্ঞপ্তি, প্রাতিষ্ঠানিক তথ্য, প্রত্যক্ষদর্শীর বক্তব্য, সংশ্লিষ্ট ব্যক্তির মন্তব্য এবং নির্ভরযোগ্য সংবাদমাধ্যমসহ বিভিন্ন উৎস ব্যবহার করা হতে পারে।
অন্য কোনো সংবাদমাধ্যম বা প্রকাশিত প্রতিবেদন থেকে তথ্য নেওয়া হলে যথাসম্ভব সংশ্লিষ্ট সূত্রের পরিচয় ও লিংক উল্লেখ করা হবে। অন্যের লেখা বা প্রতিবেদন অনুমতি ছাড়া হুবহু প্রকাশ করা আমাদের সম্পাদকীয় নীতির সঙ্গে সামঞ্জস্যপূর্ণ নয়।
৪. নিরপেক্ষতা ও ন্যায্যতা
জনবার্তা সংবাদ পরিবেশনে দলীয়, ব্যক্তিগত, ব্যবসায়িক বা অন্য কোনো অযৌক্তিক প্রভাবমুক্ত থাকার চেষ্টা করে।
বিতর্কিত বা অভিযোগসংক্রান্ত সংবাদে সংশ্লিষ্ট পক্ষের বক্তব্য নেওয়ার চেষ্টা করা হয়। কোনো ব্যক্তি বা প্রতিষ্ঠান সম্পর্কে অভিযোগ প্রকাশের ক্ষেত্রে অভিযোগকে প্রমাণিত সত্য হিসেবে উপস্থাপন করা হবে না।
৫. জনস্বার্থ ও দায়িত্বশীল সাংবাদিকতা
জনস্বার্থসংশ্লিষ্ট বিষয়কে সংবাদ প্রকাশের ক্ষেত্রে গুরুত্ব দেওয়া হয়। সংবাদ পরিবেশনের সময় মানুষের মর্যাদা, সামাজিক সম্প্রীতি এবং সম্ভাব্য ক্ষতির বিষয় বিবেচনা করা হয়।
উসকানিমূলক, বিদ্বেষপূর্ণ, বৈষম্যমূলক বা অপ্রয়োজনীয়ভাবে আতঙ্ক সৃষ্টিকারী ভাষা পরিহার করা আমাদের নীতি।
৬. ব্যক্তিগত গোপনীয়তা ও সংবেদনশীল বিষয়
সংবাদ প্রকাশের ক্ষেত্রে ব্যক্তির ব্যক্তিগত গোপনীয়তা ও মর্যাদাকে সম্মান করা হয়। শিশু, নির্যাতনের শিকার ব্যক্তি এবং ঝুঁকিপূর্ণ অবস্থায় থাকা মানুষের পরিচয় প্রকাশের ক্ষেত্রে বিশেষ সতর্কতা অবলম্বন করা হবে।
৭. ছবি, ভিডিও ও কপিরাইট
সংবাদে ব্যবহৃত ছবি, ভিডিও, গ্রাফিকস ও অন্যান্য উপকরণের উৎস ও ব্যবহারের অধিকার বিবেচনা করা হয়। অনুমতিবিহীন বা কপিরাইট লঙ্ঘনকারী উপকরণ ব্যবহার না করার বিষয়ে জনবার্তা সচেষ্ট।
প্রয়োজন অনুযায়ী ছবি বা ভিডিওর উৎস উল্লেখ করা হবে। প্রতীকী ছবি ব্যবহার করা হলে তা যথাসম্ভব স্পষ্টভাবে চিহ্নিত করা হবে।
৮. প্রযুক্তি ও স্বয়ংক্রিয় সরঞ্জামের ব্যবহার
সংবাদ সংগ্রহ, তথ্য সাজানো বা প্রাথমিক খসড়া তৈরিতে প্রযুক্তি ও স্বয়ংক্রিয় সরঞ্জাম ব্যবহার করা হতে পারে। তবে স্বয়ংক্রিয়ভাবে তৈরি কোনো খসড়া সরাসরি প্রকাশের জন্য নয়।
প্রকাশের আগে সংবাদ সম্পাদনা, তথ্য যাচাই এবং প্রয়োজনীয় সংশোধনের জন্য মানবীয় পর্যালোচনা করা হয়। প্রযুক্তির ব্যবহার সংবাদে নির্ভুলতা ও দায়িত্বশীলতার বিকল্প নয়।
৯. সংশোধন ও হালনাগাদ
প্রকাশিত সংবাদে তথ্যগত ভুল, অসঙ্গতি বা গুরুত্বপূর্ণ নতুন তথ্য পাওয়া গেলে তা যাচাই করে প্রয়োজনীয় সংশোধন বা হালনাগাদ করা হবে।
কোনো পাঠক ভুল তথ্য শনাক্ত করলে আমাদের জানাতে পারেন। যথাযথভাবে যাচাইয়ের পর প্রয়োজনীয় ব্যবস্থা নেওয়া হবে।
১০. পাঠকের পাঠানো সংবাদ ও তথ্য
পাঠক, স্বেচ্ছাসেবী সংবাদ প্রতিনিধি এবং বিভিন্ন সূত্র থেকে সংবাদ, ছবি, ভিডিও বা তথ্য গ্রহণ করা হতে পারে। এসব উপকরণ প্রকাশের আগে যাচাই ও সম্পাদকীয় পর্যালোচনার প্রয়োজন হতে পারে।
কোনো তথ্য পাঠানোর মাধ্যমে তা স্বয়ংক্রিয়ভাবে প্রকাশের নিশ্চয়তা তৈরি হয় না।
১১. স্বার্থের সংঘাত
সংবাদ পরিবেশনে ব্যক্তিগত, আর্থিক বা প্রাতিষ্ঠানিক স্বার্থের সংঘাত এড়িয়ে চলার চেষ্টা করা হয়। কোনো স্বার্থ সংবাদটির নিরপেক্ষতা বা বিশ্বাসযোগ্যতাকে প্রভাবিত করতে পারে—এমন পরিস্থিতিতে সতর্কতা অবলম্বন করা হবে।
১২. অভিযোগ ও পাঠকের মতামত
সংবাদ, তথ্যের নির্ভুলতা, সংশোধন বা সম্পাদকীয় আচরণ সম্পর্কে পাঠকের মতামত ও অভিযোগকে গুরুত্ব দেওয়া হয়। পাঠকরা ইমেইলের মাধ্যমে আমাদের সঙ্গে যোগাযোগ করতে পারেন।
১৩. নীতিমালা পরিবর্তন
জনবার্তা প্রয়োজন অনুযায়ী এই সম্পাদকীয় নীতিমালা সংশোধন বা হালনাগাদ করতে পারে। পরিবর্তিত নীতিমালা এই পেজে প্রকাশ করা হবে।

Editorial Policy
1. Our Editorial Commitment
Janobarta is an online news platform based in Khulna, Bangladesh. We aim to present important local, national and international news responsibly.
Our editorial principles are based on accuracy, impartiality, public interest, transparency and accountability.
2. Accuracy and Verification
We make reasonable efforts to verify information before publication. For important claims, we prioritize checking information against multiple reliable sources whenever possible.
When information cannot be independently verified immediately, we consider the available sources and limitations before presenting it. Publishing rumours, assumptions or unverified claims as confirmed facts is against our editorial principles.
3. Sources and Attribution
Our reporting may use government announcements, institutional information, eyewitness accounts, statements from relevant individuals and reliable news organizations.
When information is obtained from another news organization or published report, we aim to identify and link to the relevant source. Republishing another publisher’s content verbatim without permission is not consistent with our editorial principles.
4. Impartiality and Fairness
Janobarta aims to report news free from undue political, personal, commercial or other influence.
For controversial reports or allegations, we make reasonable efforts to seek comments from the relevant parties. Allegations are not presented as established facts.
5. Public Interest and Responsible Journalism
We give importance to matters affecting the public interest. In reporting, we consider human dignity, social harmony and the potential consequences of publication.
We avoid inflammatory, hateful, discriminatory or unnecessarily alarming language.

Technology and automated tools may be used to collect information, organize material or prepare initial news drafts. Such drafts are not intended for direct publication without review.
Before publication, content is subject to human review for editing, verification and necessary corrections. Technology does not replace accuracy or editorial responsibility.
